Iceland

Ah, Iceland. I just have such an affinity for this place. It feels so comfortable and right. It was only a seven hour flight from Seattle to Reykavik and arriving in the morning at sunrise was able to experience that soft northern hemisphere pastel sky. We were able to crunch alot into the two days and two nights but so want to return at some point. Highlights were the Blue Lagoon where we soaked in the blue waters all afternoon, oh, and had a great massage. Nightlife goes on until sunrise with all the bars staying open until 5:30am….Gull,Viking, and Tuborg Classic were the beers of choice, along with the traditional snapps Brevinin (Black Death).  Day trip to the Gullfoss waterfall which was spectacular and as well as an area called Pingvellir which was breathtaking (the light on the lake and hills was a photographers dream). This is also the place were you can walk between the Continental Riff….one side being America and the other Europe. This rugged landscape is the home of elves (they say the 60% of Icelanders believe in them), mmmmm, who knows,    What a grand stop before Paris.
