Red Rock Canyon

I spent the last four days in Las Vegas rock climbing at Red Rock Canyon. The area is about a thirty minute drive outside of town and a spectacular area. I met a good friend, Tim (aka Wally), and the two of us spent the time enjoying the beautiful weather and climbing some challenging routes. We both agreed that we needed to have been in better climbing shape as a lot of the climbing is quite “Spicy”. I had visited the area twice before but only did a hike up Turtle Head Mountain while the rest of the time was from the seat of a rental car as we drove the 20 mile loop through the park. And yes, the rock is really red. Las Vegas, Nevada
